Rabbit Purchase Agreement

General:

Buyers must be at least 18 years of age. You agree that you are not purchasing the rabbit on behalf of a third party. All Buyers must submit a Rabbit Purchase Agreement and a New Rabbit Application. Our rabbits are sold as livestock and not intended for use as pets.

All rabbits come with a full pedigree. Our rabbits are sold as livestock. Rabbits will have received a preventative dose of ear/fur mite protection, have been handled daily and grooming fully by the time they leave our farm. All Angoras will receive a fresh blowout the day they leave for their new homes. We will send home a sample bag of feed which the rabbits have been raised on to aid in the transitioning process. You will also receive a birth certificate and paper copy of your pedigree.

 

Health Guarantee:

We guarantee your rabbit for the initial 7 days once your rabbit arrives to you. We require that once you receive your rabbit that you follow our 7-Day Transitioning Period guidelines. If for any reason your rabbit shows signs of illness upon arrival or during the transitioning, you must notify us immediately and have a qualified vet evaluate your rabbit at the onset of symptoms.

Should the rabbit pass away due to stress during the 7-day transition period, we will replace your rabbit free of charge with another of equal value immediately or up to one year from date of death. We do not give refunds for rabbit deaths. The owner must select a new rabbit. The buyer will be responsible for any and all transport fees for the new rabbit. We may ask for proof of death which can include veterinary verification and/or necropsy.

Exclusions from the Health Guarantee on the above are as follows:

  • Any illness or death that is not reported within the 7-day period (and within 24 hours of the onset of illness) from the time of purchase.

  • Boarding the rabbit during the 7-day period

  • Failure to seek veterinary care at the onset of illness.

  • Improper diet.

  • Abusive or improper handling, neglect or accidental death.

  • Extreme temperature fluctuations.

  • Improper or unsafe housing causing sickness or death.

  • Unsanitary living conditions.

  • Injury from other animals.

  • Rabbits that die during transport

  • Illness contracted by other livestock or animals in the home

 

Payments and Deposits:

A deposit of $50 is due immediately upon submission to reserve any and all rabbits under 8 weeks of age. Payment for this deposit can be made via PayPal or Venmo. Once application and agreement have been received, we will send instructions for deposit payment.

 

Rabbits that have a deposit will receive a "Reserved for ___" notice on our website. Once a rabbit is considered reserved, it is no longer eligible for others to purchase. No rabbit will be considered revered until the deposit is paid.

Deposits are for rabbits under 8 weeks old. We do not accept deposits for those over 8 weeks of age. If the rabbit is over 8 weeks of age, payment in full is due immediately. Rabbits that have been paid in full will receive a "Sold to ____" notice on our website. No rabbit leaves our farm until it is paid for in full.

 

Rabbits are ready to leave at 8 weeks of age and no sooner. We will send notification when final payment is due. Rabbits will be held for 14 days after this notice. Should final payment not be made during this timeframe, the deposit will be forfeited, and the rabbit will be relisted as available.

 

All payments are final unless otherwise noted.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Should you decide you no longer wish to purchase a rabbit, or if you chose to select a different rabbit, the deposit for the original will be forfeited and a new deposit required for the new rabbit.

 

If the rabbit becomes ill or dies in our care, a full refund for all monies paid will be issued.

Transportation/Pick Up:

Pick up is to be made within 14 days of the 8 week of age mark. Instructions for pick-up arrangements will be sent along with the final payment notice. If you are picking up from our farm, prior arrangements must be made so that we know you are coming. To help prevent illness and disease, we do not allow individuals into the Rabbitry.

 

We offer delivery within 30 minutes of our farm upon request and availability. Delivery must be in a well-lit public location such as a parking lot or gas station. We will not deliver your rabbit directly to your home or farm.

If you are out of state and require transportation, you will need to make arrangements with a small animal transporter. We do not ship our rabbits. If you do not already work with a transporter, we are happy to provide contact information for transporters we have used in the past. It is the buyer's responsibility to make all transportation arrangement, including the payments of any fees incurred.

All rabbits will be held for pick up a maximum of 14 days after 8 weeks of age unless other arrangements have been made. Should the buyer fail to pick up their rabbits or make arrangements, we reserve the right to relist the rabbits for available purchase. Refunds will not be given for failure to make transportation arrangements. This applies to both deposits and full payments. Rabbits that are not picked up by day 14 will be relisted for sale and all monies paid will be forfeited unless other arrangements have been made.

Waitlist:

Our Waitlist is on a first come first serve basis. Buyers can be added to our waitlist at any time. This can be for a general kit or for a specific kit. For instance, if you are looking for a trio of rabbits, or if you are specifically looking for a Blue Eyed White English Angora.

​

After a litter is born, we will evaluate the kits at three weeks old. Once evaluation is completed, those who are on our waitlist will be contacted via email. Waitlist buyers have 3 days to respond to the email before it is considered "passed" and we move on to the next waitlist buyer. Rabbits that are accepted by a waitlist buyer will require an immediate deposit to be reserved.

Deposit must be submitted within 48 hours of acceptance. Should deposit not be submitted, the kit will be considered passed. Should you choose that the rabbit does not fit your needs, you can "pass" on the rabbits and your spot on the wait list will be held. 

 

You may "pass" on a rabbit up to twice. After the third pass, you will be removed from the waitlist and the spot given to the next in line. All rabbits that have not yet been claimed by waitlist buyers by the time they are 5 weeks old will be listed as "Available" on our website.

Sale Refusal:

We reserve the right to refuse any sale for any reason at any time. We may refuse sale if we believe the rabbit will not be properly cared. We will not sell any rabbit if we believe they will be used for animal testing.

Relinquishing Care:

We would rather take the time to rehome the rabbits ourselves than risk it going to the wrong person. If for any reason you are no longer able to continue care for one of our rabbits, we ask that you return the rabbit to us, no questions asked. Please do not bring our rabbits to shelters or give them away. Shelters are often overburdened, and we cannot ensure their safety and care in a subsequent home. We do not provide refunds for returned rabbits. If you choose to rehome a rabbit from our homestead yourself, all assurances are null and void. If transport is required, buyer will be responsible for all returning transport fees.

Discounts:

We offer 25% off all rabbits for 4H and FFA students. Our goal is to help foster and encourage youth to get involved with rabbits and showing. This discount can only be applied to rabbits with no disqualifications whose colors are recognized by the ARBA. We also offer 20% off for all US military veterans and active-duty members. This discount can be applied to any rabbit in our available. We will ask for verification for any of the aforementioned. Occasionally we will offer rabbits at a discounted rate. This rate is only for the rabbits as listed and cannot be applied to other rabbits. Discounts through our farm store are for our crafted products only and cannot be applied to the purchase of rabbits or any other livestock that we offer.
